Annual service award celebration honors 17 faculty, staff for milestone anniversaries

In celebration of milestone anniversaries, 17 faculty and staff members received recognition for a combined 230 years of service to Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. The Seminary community honored awardees during the daily service April 4 in the Chapel of St. Timothy and St. Titus. An indoor reception followed in Koburg Hall.

“God’s blessings to all of you and thank you so much for your service,” Seminary President Dr. Thomas J. Egger [1] said to the honorees. “What a joy it is to share in the meaningful work of this place. I thank God for each one of you. I thank you for the fellowship that we have in His Son Jesus. And I thank you for the fruitful work of the Gospel that happens not only here on these grounds, as we work together, but is extended throughout the nation and throughout the world – through the work that the Seminary does, reaching many places, but especially through the work of our students as they go on and serve in ministry.”

Following the reading of the names, the congregation applauded their colleagues’ dedication.
